Action on Addiction is a charity based across several sites in the South of England, who work to provide counselling and rehabilitation to drug and alcohol dependent individuals as well as support to their families.

Background:

The varied departments within Action on Addiction operate in very different ways towards shared goals. At the start, Action on Addiction had a fairly limited budget but required a total overhaul of IT systems for users of all levels of IT literacy.

For example, Action on Addiction had several legacy applications which required harmonisation to enable the organisation to share information effectively. With users spread across several sites needing access to the same information, it was essential that remote access was secure and flexible.
